Frequently Asked Questions
Our specialists treat acute facial trauma and subunit avulsions (nose, lip, eyelid, ear), complex hand injuries (cut tendons, nerve lacerations, fractures), accidental liquid scalds and burn contractures across all age groups, post-tumor Mohs defects, microtia, and hypertrophic scars.
Cosmo Radiance specializes in accidental scalds (boiling water, milk, hot oil, sambar), paediatric burns, and post-burn contractures across all age groups. For paediatric patients requiring PICU monitoring or specialized infant anaesthesia, as well as severe high-percentage adult ICU shock burns (>40–50% TBSA) requiring acute critical care, inpatient admissions and intensive resuscitation are handled in collaboration with adjacent TX Hospitals, Miyapur, with all surgical debridements, skin grafting, and reconstructive procedures led directly by our Cosmo Radiance surgical team. Crucially, all patient communication, consultations, surgical planning, and post-operative follow-up are managed directly by the Cosmo Radiance clinical team.
Our board-certified M.Ch plastic surgeons utilize specialized flap and composite tissue transfers: paramedian forehead flaps and composite ear grafts for nasal defects, Abbe/Karapandzic flaps with white-roll alignment for lip avulsions, Mini-Monoka canalicular stenting and Hughes flaps for eyelid tears, and chondrocutaneous flaps or temporoparietal fascial flaps (TPFF) for ear injuries.
Acute flexor and extensor tendon lacerations and digital nerve cuts should ideally undergo primary microsurgical repair within 24 to 72 hours of injury. Early 4-strand/6-strand core suturing enables immediate protected motion therapy (Kleinert/Duran protocol) to prevent crippling tendon adhesions and stiffness.
