Burn and accidental scald reconstruction at Cosmo Radiance is a specialized surgical continuum focused on restoring physiological function, joint mobility, and aesthetic skin quality across all age groups (infants, children, adolescents, adults, and elderly). Our primary clinical focus centers on accidental scalds from liquid spillage—such as boiling water, boiling milk, hot tea, coffee, hot cooking oil, and food/sambar spills—which predominantly affect the face, neck, chest, arms, and hands.
In paediatric patients, early scald management with biological collagen dressings, silver-barrier therapy, and child-safe split- or full-thickness skin grafting (FTSG) is crucial to prevent growth-restricting scar contractures. For complex post-scald contractures of the neck, axilla, elbow, and fingers, our M.Ch surgeons perform Z-plasties, local tissue rearrangements, and dermal matrix grafting. For patients requiring acute emergency admission, paediatric intensive care (PICU) monitoring, adult ICU backup, or complex multi-disciplinary burn resuscitation, surgical care and inpatient management are conducted in institutional clinical collaboration with TX Hospitals, Miyapur only (located directly adjacent to Cosmo Radiance for immediate access without transit delay). Crucially, all patient communication, emergency triage, surgical planning, and post-operative follow-up are managed directly by the Cosmo Radiance team for all age groups. Furthermore, severe, high-percentage adult ICU shock burns (>40–50% TBSA) requiring acute critical care, ventilator resuscitation, and intensive burn shock management are also comprehensively dealt with in institutional collaboration with the intensive care unit at adjacent TX Hospitals, Miyapur, with all surgical debridements, tangential excisions, and reconstructive skin grafting led directly by our Cosmo Radiance surgical team.
